The JASCO history club will choose a theme, event, or time period that will be our loose focus for the month. Topics will range from samurai folktales to modern Japanese feats of technology. We will recommend readings and films for each month, as well as providing a brief description of the topic to give participants some ideas to get going.

This month's topic will be "Japanese Temples and Shrines: A unique coexistence of Shinto and Buddhism in Japan". Study materials are supported by Professor Deborah Solomon of Otterbein University.  You are also welcome to bring your own materials and pictures to share with the club!
